What is the Sudoket project?

Mapping, consolidation and dissemination of Key Enabling Technologies (KETs)
for the construction sector in the SUDOE space.

SUDOKET will strengthen the capabilities of research and development of solutions based on enabling technologies (Key Enabling Technologies) for Innovating Buildings (EI) in R&D centres and universities. They will allow to validate experimentally the advanced technologies performances that are used in construction, supply and operation of EI and will demonstrate the viability of its usage in operational real conditions consolidating the confidence of the industry.

Collaborative online information systems KETpedia and KETcluster

KETpedia, designed to disseminate the state of the art in KETs for Innovative Buildings (EI) and KETcluster, dedicated to the mapping of the different actors and the promotion of projects and collaborative initiatives between them.

Pilot installations

SUDOKET is going to stablish 4 pilot installations in France, Spain and Portugal that will allow to validate experimentally the advanced technological performances used for construction, supply operation of EI. It will also demonstrate the viability of its usage in operational real conditions and will enhance the industry confidence.

Objectives

SUDOKET main objective is to enhance the growth and technological leadership of Europe in the “Innovative Buildings” (EI) sector by strengthening research, innovation, and development capabilities of solutions based on Key Enable Technologies (KETs) both in technology centres and industry.

Promotion

The project will promote the creation of links and synergies between builders, manufacturers, designers and technologists, which will contribute to improving the quality and competitiveness of EIs in Europe.

Impulse

Promote European growth around Innovative Buildings (EI) by enhancing the research and development capabilities of KET-based solutions for EI in universities and research centers.

Knowledge

SUDOKET will pay special attention to the transfer and dissemination of knowledge through the holding of seminars, technological workshops and conferences about the research and application of KETs in EI.

What is Interreg?

The Sudoe Interreg Program belongs to the european territorial cooperation objective known as Interreg. It is financed through one of the european regional politics funds: the european fund for the regional development (FEDER). The current programming period ranges from 2014 to 2020, this is the third generation as previoulsy there have been two others: Sudoe 2000-2006 and Sudoe 2007-2013.

What is the Sudoe Interreg Program

The Sudoe Interreg Program supports the regional development of the Southwest Europe area. It finances transnational projects through the FEDER Fund. The program promotes the transnational cooperation to treat problems that are common among the different regions of the territory, some of these problems are the low investment in investigation and development, the low competitiveness of the small and medium companies and the exposition to the climate change and the environmental risks.

SUDOKET project obtains financing through the INTERREG SUDOE program

On 2 July 2018, the Steering Committee of the Interreg SUDOE program approved the projects of its Second Call for Proposals. SUDOKET project was approved with an ERDF budget of 1.551.988,47€.
